2 Security Officers Killed, 6 Shot in First Hours of New Year

Charlotte NC January 2, 2023At least eight security officers were just including two that died during the first few hours of the New Year.

According to CNN, a security officer in the San Diego area was killed during a confrontation with a man at an apartment. The security officer's name was not released.

The local CBS news station in Chicago has also reported a security guard working at a Hookah Lounge was also murdered.

Austin McAllister, a father of six, personal trainer and army veteran, was working as a bouncer at the Lyons Den Hookah Lounge.

Police said that the suspect forced his way into the hookah lounge with a gun. When that suspect was not allowed inside, he opened fire at the doorway.

Police say two men fired back.

"The guy couldn't get into the bar last night," Wade said. "The security guy was telling him he couldn't get in and the guy just took his life."
